Danny Keating
With a 7-year tenure in the Submarine Service, Danny transitioned into civilian life to become a successful Sales and Alliances Leader. Starting as a chef on Vanguard Class Submarines, Danny developed precision, dedication, and teamwork in high-pressure environments. The Navy honed his leadership, adaptability, and strategic thinking, which have been crucial for his business success.
Leading Sales teams in Global Software companies, Danny specializes in strategic solutions within the cloud and data sphere, covering the entire cloud ecosystem from vendor to services perspectives. Armed with a Marketing degree from Birmingham University, he combines academic insight with practical experience to excel in the dynamic technology sector.
A dedicated supporter of veteran organizations, Danny is committed to helping veterans transition to civilian life. Beyond his professional life, he is passionate about fitness, including gym sessions and triathlons, and is a fervent Arsenal supporter. Danny cherishes family time and has a keen interest in culinary experiences.

Mike Davis-Marks OBE
Mike enjoyed a 36-year career in the Royal Navy as a submariner. Highlights included navigating and surfacing a submarine to the North Pole (twice); command of the hunter killer submarine HMS Turbulent; a posting to the British Embassy in Washington DC before, during and after 9/11 and appointments as Director of Recruiting for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and Director of Public Relations. For his part in the International Spithead Review in 2005, he was awarded the OBE in the followingNew Year’s Honours List.
After leaving the RN, Mike helped set up and run several businesses for social purpose, mainly supporting military veterans, and is currently the Managing Editor and Chief of Staff for TheVeteran.UK publishing company.
Mike is also a qualified Neuro Linguistic Programmer and leadership coach, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards and the current Chairman of its Charitable Trust. Locally, he is a Parish Councillor, a member of the Royal British Legion and coaches/referees rugby to the village U7s team.

Ryan Ramsey
A seasoned leader in the business world and military, Ryan is currently COO of First Light Fusion, a privately funded UK Fusion company. He has cross sector senior leadership experience including energy, electricity transmission, renewables, Electric Vehicle and Fibre To The home.
Among a variety of business leadership roles, he has led as Head of Electricity Construction (VP) for National Grid and as an Offshore Installation Manager on Shell’s flagship oil and gas ‘rig’ in the North Sea.
It all started in the Submarine Serivce. During his operationally focused career, he has operated as far afield as under the Arctic Ice Cap to the Indian Ocean. He has also worked for the Royal Netherlands Navy, US Navy and Counter Terrorism forces. His notable military assignments were Captain of the nuclear-powered submarine HMS Turbulent and Commander of the world-renowned Submarine Command Course ‘Perisher’.
He is chair of the Plymouth Argyle Community Trust which is the largest English Football League charity and Vice Chair of the Royal Albert and Alexandra school trust.
He has a MA and MSc, is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is alumni of the Windsor Leadership Programme. He is a published author (SSN 14 and A view from Below).

James Lemont
James served in the Royal Navy Submarine Service for 15 years as a Communicator and Medical Assistant, with notable assignments on HMS Turbulent, Triumph, and Torbay. Transitioning to the civilian sector, he has excelled in senior leadership and operational management roles, driving significant improvements in efficiency and productivity. Known for his expertise in developing AI policies and ensuring compliance with industry standards, James fosters a culture of continuous improvement and mentorship. Outside of his professional achievements, James is a dedicated family man, guitarist, motorcyclist, and avid reader. He is passionate about supporting fellow veterans, actively advocating for their smooth transition to civilian life and helping them leverage their military skills in the civilian workforce.
In 2024 he graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a Masters in Leadership and Management.

Hugo Mitchell-Heggs
Hugo served for 14 years in the Royal Navy Submarine service, joining as a Marine Engineering Officer Submariner, operating exclusively on Vanguard Class Submarines.
In 2018 Hugo co-founded HMS Oardacious, leading a team of Submariners and the first ever serving Royal Navy team to row across the Atlantic, becoming the fastest serving military team in history to row across any ocean. Hugo continued to grow HMS Oardacious into an organisation that sees serving Royal Navy personnel row across oceans every year, inspiring young people, building communities, and fundraising for military charities. He rowed across the Atlantic Ocean for a second time in 2022, beating becoming part of a very small number of people in history to have rowed an ocean twice. HMS Oardacious has now grown into an enduring program, successfully crowdfunded through an impressive corporate sponsorship portfolio and so far completing 3 successful Atlantic crossings and fundraising over £400,000 for military Charities and inspiring thousands of people in the UK and globally. Hugo is a trustee of various military charities, and chairs the “HMS Oardacious – Submarine Mental Health and Wellbeing fund” a charity initiative he founded in partnership with the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity to fund projects that support submariners and their families.
